Our Bratstwo Of Ukrainian Youth (BOUY)

Bratstwo‘s first membership consisted of only 17 people, and the person in charge of it was a female named Marucia Raytarska. Unfortunately, littles is known about Ms. Raytarska. There was also a separate Bratstwo of St. Michael the Archangel. It included 23 members, and its chair was Yuriy Terletskiy.

Bratstwo’s next chair was Dr. Volodymyr Protsiyk. Both Bratstwo and Sestritstwo worked side by side for the benefits of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, and both took oath to serve their church and community with honor and to the best of their abilities.

They often held joined meetings to discuss the imperative issues of the time. In fact, on June 6, 1976, they both agreed that for every 25 members of their organization, they would send one delegate to participate in the Eucharist Congress on the premises of Sv. Pokrovy.  On June 22, 1976, they formed a special commission to create more unity and connection among the two branches. The chair of the Bratstwo‘s commission at that time was Dr. Yaroslav Kryviak and his assistant Dr. Vasyl Markyc. Along with Sestritstwo, Bratstwo of Ukrainian Youth made significant contributions to Mykhailivka and what it is today.
